Family Wild Play Day – A day for all the family in collaboration with Arnside and Silverdale AONB. Drop in for an hour or stay all day with Stomping Ground. Building dens, crafts, campfire cooking and natural artworks. Playing games, picnics in the meadow, and testing your balance on slacklines or chilling in the hammocks. It all goes on!
Access: The site has a 500m circular path, which is generally level. But unfortunately doesn’t have wheelchair access. It takes 5 minutes to walk to the woods from the road.
Buses: Silverdale Road, Arnside (Springfield Avenue & Our Lady of Lourdes Church – both 10 min walk)
Parking: Parking is restricted on much of Red Hills Road, New Barns Road and Knott Lane. There is car parking available on the Promenade in Arnside, but this is often heavily used in peak season.
